How to tell if a Cartier watch is fake?

I have a Cartier watch that has been working for 5 years, I got it from my brother in law. How can I tell if it is real or not? Does the fact that its been working for 5 years prove that its real?|||The first answerer is correct.





That's their job. How hard could it be to spot a genuine Cartier? Take it in to a decent jeweler.|||That absolutely does not prove it is real. A battery is a battery. Unless it is an automatic which it does not sound like yours is. Take it to a jeweler, Cartier's are heavily faked. Not to mention expensive, that would be very nice of your brother in law to give you a couple thousand dollar watch?|||Any jeweler will know authentic cartier in a matter of seconds...


Just bring it in and ask.
